Kimberly Walter is a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Associate that works within a school base setting that focuses on providing direct assistance and guidance to students struggling with behavioral, emotional, or social emotional challenges.
Her role involves implementing supportive interventions to enhance students overall well-being and academic success. Kimberly joined Bluegrass Professional Counseling in 2019 as a Community Support Associate. She currently serves the Hart County area. Kimberly provides skills in training, coaching, and supervision to students, focusing on improving their daily living skills, emotional regulations skills, crisis coping , and interpersonal skills. She assists students in assessing and utilizing community resources, such as educational programs, recreational activities and healthcare services to promote a healthy well-being. She works side-by-side with the therapist and implements non-clinical therapeutic behavioral interventions and support strategies to address students behavioral challenges within the school environment.
KImberly also acts as a link between students, families, school, staff, and community agencies to facilitate communication and coordinate care for students needs. Kimberly has a passion for advocating for students needs and rights within the school community and collaborating with school personnel and community providers to conduct needs assessments.
With multiple years of dedicated experience as a mental health advocate, Kimberly empowers individuals to navigate their mental health challenges. Her expertise lies in skill building ,community engagement , connecting others with essential resources,and promoting mental health awareness.
