Credentialing: What do those letters mean?
Navigating the field of therapy is difficult enough, especially when there are so many credentials. These letters that follow the names of therapists can be quite confusing. In this brief article, I will attempt to explain some of those letters. .
What is a Case Manager?
Case managers work to bridge the gap to needed services and resources in the community. They do not provide a service but assist and link clients to resources and services needed to meet the client’s mental health needs, achieve recovery, overcome barriers to treatment and live independently in the community.
